Koperasi Malim Pelabuhan dan Pelaut Selangor Berhad or better known as KOMPAS was established by a group of mariners and port pilots at Port Klang, Selangor on 19 May 2010. The aim of setting up this co-operative was to consolidate the mariners in Selangor whilst upgrading the economic interests of its members.....
The main function of the Co-operative is to provide services, facilities and privileges to its member beside providing income on their share contributions in the Co-operative in the form of paying bonuses and also dividends.
By utilizing the share capital collected from its members, KOMPAS will invest the said capital in serveral types of permitted businesses as stated in the Laws of KOMPAS.
With the slogan "STEERING AHEAD", KOMPAS provide various services that focus on Marine Logistics, Maning Agency and Training Provider.
Providing passenger and cargo boat services which offered to shipping companies and mariners who anchor/ moor in the vicinity of Port Klang.
Carries out mariners' career upgrading activities by establishing co-operation with manning aggency i.e. Eddies Potential Multi Resources (EPMR).
Providing training services by receiving a lot of manpower, expertise and finance asisstance from training school which is Pelita Academi Sdn. Bhd. (PASB) .
